Sounds Good
===========

This installer places the software where macOS and your DAW will find it. You will be asked for
your password once, because the destinations are shared locations rather than your home folder.

WHAT GETS INSTALLED

  Sounds Good Correct.vst3   ->  /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
  Sounds Good Correct.app    ->  /Applications
  Sounds Good Systemwide.app ->  /Applications   (the system-wide installer)

Correct is the plug-in: load it on a bus in your DAW and it plays that DAW through your measured
room. Systemwide is a tray app that does the same thing for everything else on the machine -
Spotify, YouTube, games, calls - by taking audio from one device and playing it out of another.

BEFORE THE SYSTEM-WIDE APP CAN DO ANYTHING

It needs a virtual audio device to receive from. Install BlackHole (free, open source), point
macOS's output at it, and choose it as the "From" device in the app. The app never changes your
default output device for you.

macOS will ask for microphone permission the first time you start correcting. That prompt is
about reading the audio device you routed in - there is no microphone involved. Denying it leaves
the app running with silence as its input.

MEASURING A ROOM

Both surfaces load a room profile produced by the Sounds Good wizard. Without one they pass audio
through unchanged.

UNINSTALLING

Delete the files listed above. Nothing else is written outside your user settings folder.

  ~/Library/Application Support/Sounds Good Systemwide/
